The Adaptive Learning Center… from the Beginning!
Innovative; National role model; Unique. These are just a few of the terms professionals and parents have used to describe The Adaptive Learning Center’s Preschool Inclusion Program over the past 35 years!
The Adaptive Learning Center was created in 1982 as an early intervention program by Susan Tauber. In 1998, ALC moved to a new model as research began to reveal that the best education for children with special needs is an inclusive environment. This new model enabled trained ALC professionals (Inclusion Specialists) to integrate special education and therapy into the regular preschool curriculum and classroom activities.
As of today, The Adaptive Learning Center has one of the few state of the art programs due to its unique system of community partnerships with 10 quality preschools on 11 campuses around the Metro Atlanta Area.
When you give to ALC, you give to the whole community and enrich the lives of hundreds of families.
