Another Great Example of How Inclusion Works!

“My name is Allison and I used to hang out with Charlie a few years ago when I went to Centennial! I would help feed him and read to him at times during the lunch period or walk him around the school with some of the other students! I was at the Chastain Artisan Festival today where I met Lauren Merritt and saw she had some of Charlie’s books!! I vividly remember Charlie pulling out a small book about himself one time and didn’t even realize it had become a whole mini-series! It’s incredible! I’m so happy I came across that today; it truly made my heart overflow. Lauren was kind enough to give me your email so I could have the chance of letting you know how important those days were to me! I loved spending time with him and would love to reconnect if you ever need a volunteer or help in anyway. I graduated from Centennial in 2016 and have done a study abroad program as well as work for a traveling non-profit that volunteered in every community we visited. I’m looking forward to hearing from you again soon! Thank you, and give Charlie a hug for me please!”
