THE ALC Preschool Inclusion Program
Inclusion.
Not Exclusion.
Too often, Metro Atlanta Preschool teachers of children with developmental delays, disabilities, or in need of intervention feel overwhelmed and unsupported in the classroom. As a result, these students are excluded from the specialized services they need to succeed.
ALC’s highly skilled and professionally trained Inclusion Consultants work within classrooms helping educators adapt their teaching techniques and manage classroom dynamics, creating environments where every child can thrive.
Our Preschool Inclusion Program helps identify and support children with:
IDENTIFICATION OF CHILDREN IN NEED OF SUPPORT
The Adaptive Learning Center uses a customized approach to identify children who may benefit from additional support. We adapt our identification process to meet the unique needs of each school. This includes conducting developmental screenings, performing classroom observations, and collaborating with teachers, social workers, administrators, and families. Our flexible and thorough process ensures that no child in need of assistance is overlooked, creating opportunities for early intervention and meaningful growth.
Targeted Support for Every Child
By tailoring the identification process, we ensure that children with developmental, social-emotional, or behavioral needs are identified and supported early, giving them the tools they need to succeed.
Strengthened Teacher-Parent Collaboration
Our collaborative approach fosters open communication between teachers, parents, and school staff, creating a unified team working together for the child’s benefit.
Enhanced Teacher Satisfaction
Teachers feel more supported in addressing diverse student needs, leading to increased job satisfaction and retention, as they see firsthand the positive impact of inclusive practices in their classrooms.

Mastery rates are consistently tracked, ensuring that progress is accurately measured and areas for growth are identified.

Consistent progress tracking allows Inclusion Consultants and teachers to clearly identify when objectives have been mastered. This data informs the development of new, personalized goals, ensuring continuous growth and development for each student.
Data-Driven Success
School administrators have access to concrete data that demonstrates how the Adaptive Learning Center's strategies are supporting students in meeting and exceeding their goals. This accountability highlights the program’s impact and success.
Improved Collaboration
Ongoing progress documentation fosters better communication and collaboration between Inclusion Consultants, teachers, and families, ensuring everyone is aligned in supporting the student’s journey.
